with Bette Blance

Presented by Bette Blance, this webinar offers a rich introduction to Choice Theory and the enduring work of Dr William Glasser. Based in New Zealand, Bette is an international board member of William Glasser International, a member of the William Glasser New Zealand board, and a long-standing instructor with William Glasser International. She is also a university educator at Griffith University, bringing together academic depth and practical application in her teaching.
This session draws on Bette’s role as co-creator of the Take Charge of Your Life workshop, developed in 2014 as a tribute to the late Dr William Glasser. Originally designed for educational settings, the workshop introduces teachers to Choice Theory as a framework for understanding human behaviour, increasing personal responsibility, and cultivating greater happiness and wellbeing.
In this webinar, Bette provides insight into the core theories presented in the course, exploring how Choice Theory supports educators to feel more in control of their own lives while developing and sustaining meaningful, respectful relationships with students. Through a clear and accessible exploration of Dr Glasser’s ideas, participants gain a deeper understanding of how internal control, connection, and choice can transform both personal and professional relationships.
This session invites educators and helping professionals to reflect on how Choice Theory can be applied in everyday contexts, offering practical and philosophical insights into creating healthier relationships, more effective learning environments, and a renewed sense of purpose grounded in the legacy of Dr William Glasser.
This Workshop is included in the award winning CCC membership, the most cost effective CPD membership in Australia.
